Three injured in serious accident on A38 near Burnham-On-Sea

Three people were trapped in their vehicle after a serious accident near Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday morning (October 21st).

Police, paramedics and fire crews from Burnham and Weston rushed to the A38 at Rooksbridge, pictured, shortly after 1am.

"The accident involved a single vehicle with three females trapped, one critically," a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The fire crews extricated casualties using hydraulic cutting equipment and had to remove the roof to gain access.

The cause of the accident is not currently known.
