Burnham-On-Sea
Rotary Club gives £2,500 boost to good causes
Members of Burnham-On-Sea's Rotary Club handed over two cheques
worth a total of £2,500 to two well-known Somerset charities
on Thursday evening (February 22nd).
Representatives
from the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Musgrove Hospital's
Neonatal Special Care Unit each received £1,250 during a
presentation at the Battleborough Grange Hotel in Brent Knoll.
Rotary
Club Chairman Mike Young told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We're
delighted to be handing over such a large amount to two very worthy
causes."
"These
funds were raised from a competition
held at Highbridge farmer's market earlier this year when farmers
were asked to guess the distance between a steer's horns - and
the annual fatstock dinner."
