Berrow
holiday park in new bid to build a
dozen chalets
New
plans to build a dozen holiday chalets at a Berrow holiday park
have been submitted this week.
John
Fowler Holidays has applied for full planning permission to construct
12 holiday chalets, contained within a pair of two-storey blocks,
plus the formation of car parking at Sandy Glade Holiday Park
(pictured).
The
new application comes a year after a bid to build new chalets
at the site attracted 20 letters of objection and was rejected
by Sedgemoor's Development and Control Committee amid fears that
the proposal would lead to a loss of privacy, create traffic congestion
and noise pollution.
Planners
said the proposal was contrary to the Sedgemoor District Local
Plan. The new plans have been updated to take into consideration
the concerns and the application will be conisdered by planners
in a few weeks' time.
