Lucky
treasure hunt winner scoops £100 prize from Chamber of Trade
The
winner of this year's Burnham-On-Sea Regatta Treasure Hunt has
been named this week by organisers.
Bridgwater's
Diane Stuart beat off competition from 55 other entries and was
handed her first prize of £100 cash by Alex Turco, Chairman
of Burnham's Chamber Of Trade, this week.
Diane
was chosen by a panel of judges after providing the best answer
to the tiebreaker: "I like summer in Burnham because..."
She
responded: "Because of beautiful beaches, Unspoilt small
resort, Relaxing atmosphere, Numerous shops, Helpful friendly
people, Activities for the family, Must come again." The
capital letters of her answer cleverly make up the town's name.
The
runners-up in the competition each received vouchers, a bottle
of champagne and a meal for two at a Burnham restaurant. Chairman
Alex Turco told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The Chamber would like
to thank all those who took part, the businesses who acted as
clues, and the sponsors of our prizes. We offer our congratulations
to the lucky prize winners."

from Chamber of Trade Chairman Alex Turco.
