Supporters
of Burnham-On-Sea cerebral palsy sufferer gather for party

Supporters
and family members of Trevor Hayes, the Burnham cerebral palsy
sufferer who has been the focus of a major fundraising drive,
will hold a party on Saturday evening (February 24th) to mark
the successful conclusion to their fundraising campaign.
It
comes just days after a cheque for £500 was formally handed
over to the Burnham Community Medical Equipment Fund by the town's
Round Table, as pictured here.
It
was the final cheque needed
towards the £5,000 sum to purchase vital communications
equipment for Trevor, who is unable to speak due to his condition.
Steve
Bird, Chairman of Burnham Round Table, is pictured above handing
over the cheque to Tom
Ashton and Carol Davies of the Burnham
Community Medical Equipment Fund
alongside John Hodgson and Andrew Bryant from Burnham Lions, who
were all behind the big fundraising push during the run-up to
Christmas.
Tom
Ashton, Chairman of the Burnham Community Medical Equipment Fund,
who organised donations from groups across the town, said: "Saturday's
party has been arranged as a celebration to thank everyone for
their support."
"We'd
usually expect to raise this amount of money for an equipment
purchase during at least six months. To have done it in just two
and a half weeks shows the strength of our community. A big thank
you to everyone who helped us."
