Burnham-On-Sea funeral director
to star in new daytime TV quiz show
A
Burnham-On-Sea funeral director is set to appear on a BBC TV daytime
quiz show during August.
Jane
Macpherson, who is Parish Administrator at St Andrew's Church,
and Burnham's only qualified female funeral director, has just
returned from the BBC's studios where she took part in a new BBC
daytime quiz programme called 'Identity', hosted by American singer
and musician Donny Osmond.
In
the BBC2 series, contestants have to guess the occupations of
panelists - and Jane's job as a funeral director therefore had
to be disguised.
"I
was reading a magazine earlier this year when I noticed the BBC
were looking for people with unusual jobs to take part, so thought
I'd give it a go," Jane told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"To
try and confuse the contestants, I wore bright red clothes and
appeared as relaxed as possible even though I was actually quite
nervous with all of the cameras pointing at me!"
Jane
survived until the last three panelists on the show and is now
looking forward to watching the programme on telly next month.
"It was a lot of fun and very different to anything I'd done
before," she said.
