Burnham-On-Sea
firms in the running for national TV food awards
The
owners of two local businesses are counting on your vote to win
a nationwide food award.
Seafoods
on Burnham-On-Sea's High Street and the Pack Horse Inn at Mark,
near Burnham, have both been nominated in the 2007 UKTV Food Awards,
which seek to find the UK's local food 'heroes'.
Seafoods,
which was last month named
Somerset's Best Independent Food Shop, is described by
the UKTV Web site as "a fantastic fishmonger providing everything
the customer could possible want. The smoked fish range is proving
particularly popular, as is the charming service."
And
the Pack Horse Inn's fresh local food has been singled out for
praise on the UKTV Web site. Voting closes on August 20th, and
more details can be found here.
