Burnham’s Under A Summer Moon concert hit by extreme weather

-

Torrential rain during Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Under A Summer Moon concert reduced crowd numbers and led to two groups not performing on Saturday evening (July 21st).

But the spirits of the 300 people who braved the ongoing wet weather were not dampened, as Burnham-On-Sea.com’s photo gallery shows.

The event, held at the BASC Ground in Stoddens Lane, got off to a great start when the first act of the evening, Vermin, (pictured at the top of this page) took to the stage.

But as soon as they finished, three hours of heavy rain swept in and the stage was quickly deluged with water. Neither Snappa nor the event’s headline group, U2UK, were able to perform.

However, members of the crowd who stayed right to the end were rewarded when tribute band Take On That performed inside the event’s marquee. It came after organisers hastily set up several power generators as a ‘Plan B’.
