Highbridge's
Walrow railway bridge 'to re-open by September 14th'
Work
to re-open Highbridge's controversial Walrow railway bridge will
be completed by the middle of September, it was announced this
week.
Peter
Radcliffe of Somerset County Council confirmed in a letter that
was read out at Burnham and Highbridge Town Council's meeting
on Monday evening that the bridge (pictured here) will re-open
to traffic by Friday September 14th.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
exclusively broke
the news in March that the busy bridge would close due to
much-needed strengthening work. Since then, traders in Highbridge
have seen a big downturn in trade.
