Cheers!
Wine lovers flock to Burnham Rotary Club's wine festival
Dozens
of bottles were uncorked when scores of wine lovers flocked to
Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club's 45th annual wine festival on Friday
night (February 16th).
More
than £1,000 is expected to have been raised for local charities
from the popular event, which was held at the town's Lakeside
Holiday Park in Westfield Road.
Armed
with wine glasses, 130 people supported the event, which was first
started in 1962.
Organiser
Roy Twining, who is Vice President of the Rotary Club, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"We had 66 wines from eleven of the best wine-producing countries
in the world available, so there really was something for every
taste."
"The
wives of the Rotarians in our Inner Wheel group also did a great
job in laying on food and nibbles to accompany the wine."
