Road partially blocked after Huntspill lorry accident

A road in Huntspill was partially closed on Tuesday morning (December 18th) after a lorry crashed into a telegraph pole.

Burnham-On-Sea police were called to the junction of Withy Road and the A38 Main Road at 6.38am after the lorry collision.

Police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been no injuries.

He added: "The lorry collided into the telegraph pole and Western Power were called to investigate whether there has been any damage to the telegraph pole."

Western Power spokeswoman Irene Evans added that 31 homes had been left without power during the incident while the on-site team replaced the telegraph pole.
