Burnham-On-Sea
Sports Academy to hold series of 5km seafront runs
 Runners
of all abilities are being encouraged to take part in a series
of 5km road runs being held in Burnham-On-Sea this summer.
Martin
Rogers from Burnham Swim and Sports Academy (pictured) is organising
the three races in July and August on the town's seafront.
He
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We would really like to get the
community more involved with running, so encourage all local runners
of any ability to come along and have a go."
The
5km runs will be held on Thursday July 24th, Thursday August 7th
and Thursday August 21st and will feature a flat, three-lap course
on the Southern Esplanade. The minimum age will be 13 years.
Each
run will start at 7.30pm besides the Tourist Information Centre
and entry fees will be £5.50 for UKA club affiliated runners
(or £14 for all three races) and £7.50 for unaffiliated
runners (or £20 for all three races). Spot prizes and awards
will be given to category winners.
