Final rehearsals are underway at a Burnham-On-Sea drama group as it prepares for its annual Christmas show.

Members of the Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES) are busily rehearsing and preparing costumes for the special production of ‘Ebenezer’.

The family musical, which is based on the Dickens classic ‘A Christmas Carol’, will be performed in Burnham’s Princess Hall on Saturday 20th December at 7.30pm and Sunday 21st December at 3pm.

Sandy Ballantyne takes the lead role of Ebenezer, while Morag Cooper will play Marly.

Emily Lang will take the role of the Ghost of Christmas Past and Mrs Cratchett, while Jana Walters will play the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Sandy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Our rehearsals are really coming together now and the finishing touches are being made to the costumes and set. We’ve already have a good deal of interest in tickets as well.”

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £5 for concessions, and can be bought from the box office on 01278 792520. They will cost £9 and £6 respectively on the door.
