Burnham-On-Sea
emergency services had a busy afternoon on Friday (September 19th)
when two rush-hour accidents caused traffic delays.
These
were the scenes at 5pm on the M5 motorway's southbound carriageway
near junction 22 at Burnham following a three vehicle collision.
Queues
of slow-moving traffic quickly built up between Weston and Burnham,
as pictured above, as emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police
said there were not believed to have been any serious injuries.
Earlier,
ambulances and a fire engine from Burnham rushed to the A370 at
East Brent at 4.10pm after a motorbike (pictured right) burst
into flames.
"The
rider was taken to Weston General Hospital with various injuries,"
police spokeswoman Jenny Bigwood told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"It
has been a very busy afternoon on the roads," she added.
