Air ambulance flies baby
to hospital from Burnham jetty

These
were the scenes on Burnham-On-Sea jetty on Saturday morning (April
12th) when a young child had to be airlifted to hospital.
The
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was called to the jetty at 9.20am
after a 14-month old boy was understood to have been scalded in
an accident.
An
ambulance took the youngster to the jetty from a local camp site
and the helicopter then flew in, briefly landing on the slipway,
before taking him to Frenchay Hospital for urgent treatment.
Police
and Coastguards were also called to the scene.
