Burnham and Highbridge Town Council is to hold its 35th annual town meeting later this month when the public will be able to quiz councillors about problems in the two towns.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday 30th April at 7pm in the Old Courthouse, Jaycroft Road under the Chairmanship of Mayor Cllr Mrs Pauline Pollard.

Town Clerk Eileen Shaw explained: “This is an open meeting for all residents of Burnham and Highbridge to hear reports on the activities of the council over the past year and its aspirations for the coming year.”

“Additionally a representative from Avon and Somerset Constabulary will give a brief presentation on PACT (Partners and Communities Together) to explain how the community can get involved to highlight their concerns.”

“There will also be a short report from members of the Youth Town Council to explain what they do. Most importantly, this is an opportunity for electors to raise any matters of concern within the parish, and to ask questions about the work of their local council.”

Statutory notices and a full agenda for the meeting will be placed on the public notice boards in Burnham and Highbridge, as well as the Town Council’s website.
