Plans to build a new play area in the centre of Berrow, near Burnham-On-Sea, have this week been given the go-ahead.

Berrow Parish Council has been granted full planning permission to build a new multi-use games area featuring a range of new children’s play equipment on land to the east of Berrow Village Hall in Parsonage Road.

The scheme was granted by Sedgemoor District Council’s planning department on Tuesday (July 29th).

Planning officer Denise Todd gave permission on the proviso “that any external lighting must be hooded and directed so as to not shine towards residential property and only to illuminate the playing surface in order to safeguard residents from obtrusive light.”
