Burnham-On-Sea's Berrow Road re-opens after accident

Long queues of traffic built up along Berrow Road in Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday afternoon (September 16th) after the road was closed by police investigating a car crash.

Officers were called to 62 Berrow Road after a vehicle ploughed into a garden wall, sending debris flying over pavements, as pictured on the right.

Police spokeswoman Jenny Bigwood told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We were called to an accident at 4.10pm which led to the closure of Berrow Road from the junction with Stoddens Road through to Rectory Road."

South Western Ambulance Trust spokeswoman Melodie Juste told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We received a call at 4.12pm to attend an accident in which a car had collided into a garden wall."

She added: "An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were sent and two patients received treatment at the scene."
