Charity
shop shuts in Highbridge as financial downturn bites
A
charity shop in the centre of Highbridge has shut down, with bosses
blaming the financial downturn for its demise.
The
charity shop for BIBIC, the British Institute for Brain Injured
Children, only opened in Church Street last
year but has been struggling to make ends meet.
John
Bennett, BIBIC's Chief Executive, told Burnham-On-Sea.com this
week: "Trading has been difficult and the current economic
climate is partially to blame for the Highbridge shop's closure."
"These
are difficult times for many charities, but BIBIC is a strong
positition and still has many exciting future developments planned."
