Burnham-On-Sea
bike competition winnner announced

The lucky winner of a Tour of Britain cycle race competition in
Burnham-On-Sea has been named this week.
Mrs
Jewel Larcombe, from Burnham, won the 'bike bits' competition
and has been presented with her prize, a Giant Defy bike, by the
Chairman of Somerset County Council, Alan Gloak.
The
competition, which was overseen by Burnham's Chamber of Trade,
involved 15 shops in the town displaying different bits of a bike
and competitors were required to identify which shops were displaying
each part.
Mrs
Larcombe will be giving the bike to her granddaughter, Ashlea,
who joined her grandmother in picking up the bike.
Graham
Bagley, Somerset County Council's Tour of Britain Manager, said:
"Somerset County Council sponsors the Tour of Britain as
it attracts thousands of residents and visitors to watch along
the route."
"The
competition was run alongside this to encourage people to use
local businesses on, and in the build up to, the race day."
"My
congratulations go to Mrs Larcombe and I hope her granddaughter
thoroughly enjoys using the bike."
The
competition was run earlier this month to celebrate the Tour of
Britain South West stage finishing in Burnham.
