Burnham-On-Sea anglers
reel in armfuls of trophies at club's AGM

Over
40 trophies were handed out to members of Burnham
Boat Owners Sea Angling Association
on Thursday (April 17th) when the group held its annual meeting.
The
group's 100 members gathered at the town's Avenue Tennis Club
for the annual get-together, when a busy year of competitions
and a few bumper catches were were reviewed.
"The
trophy for the biggest catch of the year went to Mark Dyer, who
caught a 29lb conger eel last October," the club's secretary,
Simon Stroud, told Burnham-On-Sea.com. "That was a great
catch considering there have been fewer fish and smaller specimems
in the past year," he said.
The
club was established in 1975 and has almost 130 members, including
8 ladies and 10 juniors, fishing from over 50 boats. Annual membership
costs from £25.00 and further details are available on 01278
794573.
