Body
found washed up on Burnham-On-Sea beach

The
body of a naked man was found washed up on Burnham beach on Monday
morning (May 5th).
Emergency
services were called to the scene, next to Burnham jetty, shortly
after 7am.
Police,
Coastguards, a Burnham lifeboat and an ambulance crew were sent
to investigate after a seafront walker made the unpleasant find.
Police
spokesman Inspector Nick Hunt confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"The body of a man aged in his 40s has been found. We believe
he was from the Weston area and our enquiries are continuing."
He
added that the body appeared to have been in the water for some
time. "At this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious,"
said Insp Hunt.
