photos: Fireworks display lights up the skies above Brean

The
skies above Brean were lit up with fireworks on Saturday night
(March 29th) when the resort's leisure park held the first of
a series of four displays.
Heavy
rain throughout Saturday dented the size of the crowds watching
the event, but the 300 spectators enjoyed a colourful 15-minute
display.
While
there was no admittance charge, there were collections for local
good causes, including St Johns Ambulance, Burnham Cadets
and other local charities including BARB, whose crewmembers were
in attendance at Saturday's event with Burnham's Spirit Of Lelaina
hovercraft.
Further
fireworks displays are scheduled throughout the tourist season
on Saturday May 31st, Saturday August 30th and Saturday November
1st.
Saturday's
display also marked the opening of three new rides at the fun
park - The Waveswinger, Sky Diver Tower and Looney Tunes kiddie
ride.
