special: Burnham In Bloom Awards Presentation evening

Dozens
of Burnham-On-Sea residents were presented with awards - including's
the town's Mayor - when the annual Britain In Bloom prize ceremony
was held on Friday evening (October 24th).
Mayor
Peter Burridge-Clayton and Burnham In Bloom's Dave Perrett received
a Silver Gilt award given to Burnham by judge Terry Porter at
a prize ceremony in the town council chambers, as pictured here.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
first
reported in September that the town had been awarded a silver
award in the Sergent Cup, which is open to mid-sized towns across
the region. Organisers were delighted with the result after Burnham
performed poorly last
year.
Judge
Terry Porter told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I was really pleased
by the dramatic turnaround and change in Burnham this year."
"The
town did really well in a tough category and full credit goes
to all those people who put in a lot of effort to make the town
look so good."
More
than 150 people crowded into the town council chambers for Friday's
presentation evening, when awards were handed out to dozens of
residents in the Burnham In Bloom competition. [Click
