fire crew tackles Highbridge car blaze
A
fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea was called out at 12.53am on Sunday
(June 22nd) after a vehicle was reported to be well alight in
Highbridge.
On
arrival in South Avenue, the crews confirmed that one vehicle
was well alight. The fire was believed to have been started with
the use of an accelerant.
"The
fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet and two firefighters
wearing breathing apparatus," a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The
vehicle suffered 25% fire damage, 25% heat damage and 40% smoke
damage.
It
is the second vehicle fire that the Burnham crew has tackled this
weekend. They were also called to Berrow
on Friday night (June 20th).
