Burnham-On-Sea
Rotary Club holds successful Caribbean Night

Colourful
costumes were the order of the day when Burnham-On-Sea Rotary
Club held a fundraising Caribbrean night on Saturday (June 28th).
Over
250 people attended the successful event at Knoll View Farm in
Mark which was held in aid of the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance
and Childrens Hospice South West.
Providing the Caribbean entertainment were Troy Ellis And The
Longshots, an eight-piece band from Bristol, plus a support group.
Organiser
Mark Newbery told Burnham-On-Sea.com he had been delighted with
how the event had gone. "Everyone seemed to have a fun evening
and quickly got into the spirit of the event. One couple told
me it was the best night out they'd ever had!"
"With
Caribbean food and music, we also topped off the theme by turning
the stage into a desert island with scenery and props kindly loaned
to us by Burnham Panto Society. It looked great."
The
owner of Knoll View Farm and host of the night was Colin Durston,
who is currently President of Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club.
