In Photos: Burnham-On-Sea's new Carnival Queen announced

Seventeen
year-old Tara Moxey was officially named Burnham-On-Sea's 2008
Carnival Queen on Saturday afternoon (July 19th).
The
annual competition to find a queen and two princesses to lead
November's carnival parade was held at Home Farm Holiday Park
in Burnham.
Tara,
from Highbridge, said after Saturday's ceremony she was "delighted"
to have won.
As
well as leading the carnival procession on Monday November 10th,
the new queen will present the winning carnival floats with prizes.
She
is pictured alongside compere Nathan Evans (inset) and (above)
with this year's carnival princesses, Cali Rae Brown, 7, and Katie
Lawson, 10. On the back row are Tim Walters (the carnival representative
of Burnham Round Table) with compere Nathan Evans and Steve Atkinson,
the manager of Home Farm Holiday Park. Some of the budding princesses
are pictured below.
