Carnival
fever comes to Burnham-On-Sea!

Carnival
fever struck Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (November 10th)
when large crowds of spectators lined the town's streets to watch
a colourful procession of 97 entries.
This
year's Carnival Queen Tara Moxey, 17, from Highbridge, and her
princesses, Burnham girls Katie Lawson, 10, and Cali Rae Brown,
7, pictured, led the procession, pictured right.
They
were closely followed by a special float carrying Burnham's Olympic
BMX rider Liam Phillips and Paralympic swimmer Anthony Stephens.
Local
emergency services, including West Country Ambulance, St John
Ambulance, BARB and HM Coastguard, were near the front of the
procession.
Among
the local entries was Hillview JCC with its Jesters Parade carnival
float (pictured at the top of this page).
The
prize for the best entry went to Gremlins Carnival Club's Nemesis
