Motorist
cut free from car after accident shuts Highbridge town centre
Fire
crews had to remove the roof of a vehicle after a two car collision
shut the centre of Highbridge on Saturday morning (December 13th).
Burnham-On-Sea
fire crews, ambulance and police officers were called to Church
Street at 11.45am, as pictured here.
Fire
crews used cutting equipment to remove the roof of a car in order
to safely remove a female motorist inside who had suffered suspected
spinal injuries.
She
was taken by ambulance to Weston General Hospital for further
treatment. The incident led to long delays in the area for motorists,
with the road not re-opening for over an hour.
