Burnham drama group puts
on a 'hair-raising' performance!
Burnham-based
Curtain Call school of Performing Arts is teaming up with a local
hairdresser to put on a charity extravaganza with a difference.
The
event will be full of musical numbers to get you tapping and humming
along and, unusually, it will also showcase some brand new 'funky'
hair dos and extensions by the staff from Hair By Design in Brent
Knoll.
The
event will be held on Friday 28th March at Rookery Manor and aims
to raise money for the Children's Hospice South West.
Some
big raffle prizes will be available, including tickets to see
Phantom Of The Opera in London plus the use of a villa in Florida.
As
part of the evening's entertainment, there will be a talent show
for six finalists who were chosen from a prior heat earlier this
month.
"If
you've ever seen a Curtain Call show before, don't miss this one!"
says principal Patricia. "Our two top sets of Musical Theatre
students are doing some fantastic routines, even some of our teachers
are involved so you can be assured of a real showbiz night!"
"I'm
so excited about the whole evening" added Lisa of Hair by
Design, "I've been dancing round the salon humming all the
tunes, I can't wait to get my hands on the kids hair to add colour
extensions and create some funky styles!"
Both
Patricia and Lisa are hoping to raise a lot of money for the children's
hospice. One of Curtain Call's students, Terri Davies, is having
her head shaved on the night and has already got over £200
in sponsorship.
