Burnham-On-Sea man jailed for three years after drugs raid

A man from Burnham-On-Sea was sentenced on (Thursday December 18th) to three years' imprisonment after appearing at Taunton Crown Court in connection with a drugs bust in the town.

Ryan Andrew, 19, was found guilty of possession of a Class A drug with the intent to supply.

PC Ryan Dinham told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This is a really positive result and hopefully will reassure the Burnham community that we do not tolerate this type of crime in the town."

"Those involved in drug related activity in the area can expect to be prosecuted - it's not a case of 'if', but 'when' that will happen. It's only a matter of time.

"We would like to thank the local community for their continued support when it comes to our work to tackle drug dealing and encourage anyone with information regarding drug related crime to contact their neighbourhood policing team."

He added that anyone who has information about drug dealing, drug use or drug related crime should contact the local policing team on 0845 456 7000.
