Blooming good show! Record entries at East Huntspill Horticultural
Show
Over
400 entries made this year's annual East Huntspill Horticultural
Show the best-ever supported on Saturday (August 2nd).
The
show's President, Bill Fisher, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the organisers
had been delighted that changeable weather conditions during recent
weeks had not adversely affected the number of entries.
"We
had lots of new entrants this year - some 82 in total - who entered
over 400 items in a wide variety of categories," he said.
"We're particularly pleased to see the children's classes
getting well supported."
"The
overall standard has been good even though some classes, such
as fruit, did suffer because of the weather."
