Blooming good show! Record entries at East Huntspill Horticultural Show

Over 400 entries made this year's annual East Huntspill Horticultural Show the best-ever supported on Saturday (August 2nd).

The show's President, Bill Fisher, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the organisers had been delighted that changeable weather conditions during recent weeks had not adversely affected the number of entries.

"We had lots of new entrants this year - some 82 in total - who entered over 400 items in a wide variety of categories," he said. "We're particularly pleased to see the children's classes getting well supported."

"The overall standard has been good even though some classes, such as fruit, did suffer because of the weather."
