injured in Burnham-On-Sea town centre accident
centre of Burnham-On-Sea came to a standstill on Wednesday (November
26th) after a car crashed into a wall.
Peugeot careered into the side of Burnham Funeral Services next
to the Esso roundabout just before mid-day, leading to the temporary
closure of Oxford Street.
photos, taken on a mobile phone, show the scene just after emergency
services arrived to help the two occupants inside the car.
Juste, spokeswoman for South Western Ambulance Service, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"Two rapid response teams and an ambulance were sent to the
scene at 11.53am after a vehicle went into a brick wall. Two people
were treated for minor injuries."
were both taken to Weston General Hospital as a precaution.
Burnham-On-Sea fire engine was also called to the scene and the
brigade's spokesman, Paul Slavin, said: "Crews assisted paramedics
to transfer two people to an ambulance and make the vehicle safe."

and we worked with the paramedics to help free the man."
vehicle suffered front-end damage and was taken away by a recovery
service later in the afternoon, when the road fully re-opened
