Burnham-On-Sea fire crews tackle Highbridge rubbish blaze

Two fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea tackled a rubbish fire on the outskirts of Highbridge on Saturday afternoon (October 25th).

Firefighters were called at 1.45pm to the Clyce, besides the River Brue, where a large pile of rubbish had been set alight inside a concrete tank in a field.

Ladders, breathing apparatus and other specialised equipment were used to tackle the fire, as pictured here. The fire crews were in attendance at the scene for over an hour.
