Tickets go on sale for Burnham-On-Sea FolkFest's opening event
Tickets
have gone on sale for the opening event of this year's Burnham-On-Sea
FolkFest.
Dragonsfly
will perform at the Ritz Social Club on Friday August 29th from
7pm and tickets are already selling quickly.
Graham Cook, one of the Folkfest organisers, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com
this week that the opening concert has already created lots of
interest.
"Dragonsfly
were one of the best acts at last year's FolkFest and are returning
to open this year's festival. We've already sold a good number
of tickets and have around 200 available in all," he said.
Tickets
cost £6 each and are available from GC Music in College
Street or by calling 01278 794434. This is the only ticket event
for the whole FolkFest weekend - and all other events will be
provided free.
FolkFest
is being held from Friday 29th August to Sunday 31st August with
more than 60 acts confirmed. Click here

On
Saturday August 30th FolkFest performances will be held in seven
pub and club venues, with free music in each from noon until 11.00pm.
In an eighth pub there will be open mic sessions. There will also
be clog and morris dancing, a craft fair in the centre of the
town, childrens' entertainment, workshops and other activities.
On
the Sunday August 31st, the popular 'Folk in the Park' event will
be held in Burnham's Manor Gardens, with six hours of free music
and performance including the fabulous Sheelanagig, Ember, Bag
of Rats, Phil King and the Tiger Feet Appalachian Dancers.
