Burnham-On-Sea
Mayor welcomes visitors from German twin town

Dozens of visitors from Fritzlar in Germany - which is twinned
with Burnham-On-Sea - were welcomed to the town on Monday evening
(July 21st).
Mayor Peter Clayton led a formal ceremony at the town council
chambers for the group of 40 visitors, who are staying with local
residents during their five-day visit.
Organised
by Burnham and Highbridge Fritzlar Twinning Society, the visit
will include a range of activities for the group.
They
will spend Tuesday in Burnham, take a day trip to Wales on Wednesday,
enjoy a walk to Brent Knoll on Thursday, and then be treated to
a farewell dinner in Lympsham on Thursday evening.
Gabrielle
Ulrich, Chairperson of the German Fritzlar Twinning Association,
said: "Thank you very much for your hearty welcome on our
arrival. We are very pleased to be back in Burnham and Highbridge
among so many friends."
