Garden
centre near Burnham-On-Sea unveils huge expansion plan
A
garden centre near Burnham-On-Sea is planning a huge expansion
of its site.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
learns that Wyevale, the owner of Sanders Garden World at Brent
Knoll, is working on a huge planning application that will greatly
increase the size of its site.
The
new proposal is for a 3,252 square metre extension to the main
garden centre building, as opposed to a 2,785 square metre extension
as approved by the Secretary Of State in August
2005.
This
would bring the total floor space to a huge 5,537 square metres.
The
application will also include permission for 411 parking spaces,
an extra 42 spaces.
Wyevale
has already conducted several pre-application consultation meetings
with the Development Control and Policy teams at Sedgemoor District
Council and is currently in talks with Somerset County Council.
The
garden centre will be holding an exhibition of its plans later
in March when further details about the extension are to be announced.
