More political graffiti daubed on walls in centre of Burnham-On-Sea

Angry residents have this week hit out at graffiti vandals after more political slogans have appeared in Burnham-On-Sea during the last few days.

Burnham-On-Sea.com was first to report last week how a wave of extreme graffiti, with words such as 'BNP' and 'Put the Great Back in Britain', had been daubed across walls and garage doors in the town centre.

This week, residents in Oxford Street and Kingsway Road have been shocked to find the political slogans painted over their walls, as pictured here.

Resident Brian Nicholls told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I was staggered to see such wording painted on my wall."

"It's not what you expect to see in a small town like Burnham. I've removed the wording myself and am very unhappy about it."

Sedgemoor District Council's Clean Surroundings Team have been busily removing the worst of the graffiti from public spaces in the town this week.

Burnham police have appealed for help in catching the culprits and anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
