helps police make an arrest after Burnham-On-Sea robbery
A police helicopter hovered over Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday
evening (July 22nd) when it was used by officers on the ground
to help search for a man following a robbery in the town.
A
19 year-old man was arrested by police outside the Burnham Swim
and Sports Academy after a violent motorcycle theft at 8.30pm.
Police
spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The victim
reported being pushed off his motorcycle and then it being stolen."
"He
was not injured but a thorough search was conducted for the offender
by police on the ground and in the air."
"A
19 year-old male was later arrested on suspicion of robbery and
is being held at Bridgwater Police Station. Active enquiries are
also underway for another suspect."
