Hoteliers
warned over bogus cold callers by Burnham-On-Sea police
Burnham
police issued a warning to hoteliers and guest house owners on
Wednesday (June 16th), advising them to be on their guard against
cold callers asking for customer's bank details.
A
police spokesman explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A series
of incidents have been reported from businesses in the Burnham
area."
"Traders
have been called by people claiming to be police officers asking
for bank and credit card details of previous residents."
Police
advised that details should never be given and further incidents
should be reported to police. Anyone with information about these
