Burnham-On-Sea
family and friends thank air ambulance crew
Burnham-On-Sea
youngster Jack Dyer, 3, is recovering well after being air-lifted
to hospital following a serious garden accident last month.
And
to show their appreciation for the swift response of the Somerset
and Dorset Air Ambulance team, Jack's family, friends and Burnham
and Highbridge Round Table have this week presented £850
to the life-saving service as a special thank you.
Jack
was air-lifted to Frenchay Hospital in May
after suffering leg injuries, but has since gone on to recover
well.
The
cheque was handed over to the helicopter fundraising team at this
year's Shepton Mallett Festival and father Mark Dyer said: "This
very worthy organisation provides a vital service to many people
in our local area, and a lot of people do not realise that the
service relies solely on charitable donations to keep its operation
functioning."
