Christmas fun run set to be held on Burnham’s seafront this weekend

-

There’s still time to enter Burnham-On-Sea’s first ‘Christmas Jingle Fun Run’, which will be held on the town’s seafront this weekend.

Organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, the four-mile fun run will start at 10.30am on The Esplanade this Sunday (December 21st).

Organiser Martin Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We would like runners to get into the festive spirit by wearing a jingle bell whilst taking part and they will be presented with a festive memento and mince pie on finishing the course.”

“We hope the run will encourage people to get up and have a go and not wait until the new year to get fit and active.”

Runners will start from the north Esplanade, before jogging past the Yacht Club, and alongside the riverside footpath into Apex Park. After a circular tour of the lakes, the runners will wend their way back to the riverbank, past the Yacht Club and along the Esplanade to the finishing line next to the bandstand.

Entrants must be 15 or older. Entry forms are available from the reception at Burnham swimming pool or here.
