Hghbridge's
King Alfred Sports Centre holds school activity day

Over
thirty children from a Highbridge school attended a special activity
day at King Alfred Sports Centre last week.
Pupils
from St Johns Primary School spent two hours taking part in various
team challenges that tested teamwork and communication, such as
orienteering.
The
hardest challenge saw two children guiding three blindfolded classmates
through an exercise course, as pictured on the right.
"All
teams completed this very well. They demonstrated excellent team
work," Lee Vaughan, the event's co-ordinator, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"The
children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and conducted themselves
in a positive manner."
King
Alfred Sports Centre, in association with King Alfred School,
is looking to work closely with all local primary schools in the
local area.
Lee
explained: "We can accommodate events such as the Mark School
Olympics and school activity days and want to provide more for
everyone by going to the schools to bring high quality fun to
each school." More
details are available from the centre on 01278 786868.
