Burnham-On-Sea
health food shop praised for its disabled access
A
Burnham-On-Sea food shop has been nominated for a top award recognising
its friendliness to disabled customers.
Kyffins
in Victoria Street has been put forward for a 2008 Accessible
Somerset Award by a member of the public.
Owners
Tom and Sue Kyffin will be attending a ceremony in Taunton on
December 3rd when they will find out if their business has won.
"We're
delighted to get a nomination," Tom, pictured above, told
Burnham-On-Sea.com. "It's come out of the blue, but we do
pride ourselves on running a shop that is easily accessible by
disabled customers and we're very pleased this has been recognised."
The
judges include disabled people and representatives from the Councils
Equalities Officers Group, and the awards are being run by Somerset
County Council and Sedgemoor District Council.
The
shop recently was recently named third best health food in the
UK by online shopping directory Qype.
