Burnham fire crew called to light aircraft crash near Cheddar

A fire crew from Burnham-On-Sea was among the emergency services called to a light aircraft crash near Cheddar on Friday evening (August 22nd).

Fire engines from Cheddar, Weston, Bridgwater, Street and Burnham were mobilised to the crash site near Perrow Farm in Clewer (pictured).

Police and ambulance crews were also in attendance.

"The pilot was out of the plane but there was a female casualty trapped," a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"Crews released a female casualty after isolating the fuel and power supplies, and have made the scene safe."
