Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club hand out cheques to grateful charities

Members of Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club handed out £2,000 to grateful representatives of two local charities on Wednesday evening (February 6th).

In a ceremony at the Oak Tree Arena at Edithmead, Andrew Bryant, President of Burnham Lions Club, and David Ellison, Lions Club Community Services Co-ordinator, presented £1,000 to both the Highbridge-based National Blind Childrens Society and the British Institute for Brain Injured Children.

"The money was raised for these excellent groups during a series of Lions Club collections at Burnham's Tesco store over Christmas," David explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com.
