accident causes delays for motorists near Burnham-On-Sea
Traffic
on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea was reduced to a crawl on
Friday morning (July 11th) following an accident.
A
Volkswagen Convertible collided with the central reservation and
flipped over at 7.35am, leading to delays for motorists on the
southbound carriageway.
"The
incident occurred half a mile north of Sedgemoor Services between
junctions 21 and 22 going southbound but did not block any lanes,"
police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He
added: "There were not believed to have been any serious
injuries."
Police,
paramedics and two fire crews from Burnham were called to the
scene.
