Day of accidents on M5 leaves long queues near Burnham-On-Sea

This motor home was left with one side badly damaged following a collision with a lorry on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday afternoon (August 29th).

Although no-one was injured in the 4.30pm accident on the northbound carriageway near Sedgemoor Services, it was one of several motorway incidents during the day that led to long delays for motorists.

Earlier, a jeep overturned on the northbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 21 at 11am, leaving all three lanes being briefly closed, but no serious injuries.
