Police close road in Mark after two vehicle accident

A two-car collision led to the main road through Mark being closed by police for two hours on Thursday evening (June 19th).

Police and paramedics from Burnham-On-Sea were called to the B3139 Church Street in Mark at 5.20pm following the rush-hour accident.

Motorists had to take diversions around the scene, pictured here, to get through the village. Ambulance crews treated several people at the scene.

Police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The road was blocked until 7.25pm following a two-car accident."
