Burnham-On-Sea
couple hand over ruby wedding anniversary cheque
Generous
Burnham-On-Sea couple Terry and Yvonne Cornelius have handed a
£435 cheque to Burnham's Community Medical Equipment Fund
after raising the money at their ruby wedding anniversary celebration.
The
couple celebrated their 40th anniversary with a slap-up dinner
and dance in Winscombe for all their friends from the local Moose
International lodge.
In
lieu of wedding presents, they requested donations and were delighted
to hand over £435 to Tom Ashton, the chairman of the Burnham
Medical Equipment Fund (as pictured here).
The fund is a registered charity that provides much-needed equipment
for Burnham and Highbridge residents.
Moose
International is a fraternal organisation based on family values
where members have fun and support each other whilst raising money
for good causes and charities. The Burnham-On-Sea lodge meets
on the last Thursday of each calendar month at Berrow village
hall.
